The Red Violin

Did you ever see the movie called “The Red Violin”? It was really such a great movie. I saw it many years ago. It was the story of the life of a violin.

It showed how it was made sometime in the middle ages and then it showed chronologically all the people who owned it. Sometimes children owned it, sometimes famous people owned it, sometimes it was stolen and a poor person had it and then sometimes it traveled to different countries. At one point it was in communist China.

That violin went everywhere. At the end it was being auctioned off in London for several million dollars.

The soul is a lot like the violin. It passes through all these different bodies and circumstances, some noble and some not so noble, it travels from country to country, through many religions and cultures, gathering bits and pieces of impressions.

Fortunately for our own sanity in this birth it is seldom that we remember where we’ve been or what we’ve been doing in past births, but occasionally it does crop up. We can have a real sense of past lives through observing child prodigies, (where did they learn it?), through our own strong unexplained aversions and attractions to things, and people, through studying something which turns out to be just soooo easy.

Sometimes we meet people who we feel that we have met before and sometimes we just get along so wonderfully with someone that we’ve meet for the first time. Or the opposite. Someone we meet for the first time just rubs us the wrong way right off the bat.

All of these things are evidence of past lives. The soul has a recording of everything it’s ever heard, done or seen and every soul it’s interacted with. When we meet someone face to face the soul knows deeper things that the body doesn’t know.

We know, when we meet someone, if that soul has wronged us in a past life, even if their words now are very sweet. We feel internally that something isn’t right and that this one can’t be trusted.

But………….it’s all the drama and this is the time of karmic settlement and so I must meet all the souls now who I have a karmic connection with and all the karmas at this time have to be settled. We settle karma by passing through it with good wishes and pure feelings for everyone, by seeing beyond the situation in front of us, by remembering God and God’s qualities of purity, peace, love, bliss and power, by seeing and understanding that I am a soul and this other one is just my brother and through this event happening I am just settling my own karma.

No big deal. I, the soul, am a guest, passing through this life………………just like the red violin.

It’s actually very easy when you just become the detached observer. But there is opposition from Maya, the Alligator of body consciousness who has had us in her grip for so long and doesn’t want to let go.

Goodbye dear Maya. See you again next cycle. This drama is 100% accurate. This is the time for purity. We enjoyed our impurity and God was fine with that, but now God, the Supreme Soul, is here and it is time for souls to become pure.

There are two ways to become pure, by choice, or kicking and screaming. But we have to become pure before we can go home to the soul world. We go to golden age via the soul world. In golden age we will get a brand new body.
