When we meet people who are homeless, begging and disheveled, how do we look at them? Someone said to me the other day ”I can’t bear to see homeless people.” Another person said to me “I can’t bear to see old people who are shut ins who can’t go outside.” Another person said to me, “I can’t bear to be around people who complain.”
So what is this not being able to bear something? In the the ordinary world this is seen as compassion, this feeling sorry for someone. But actually this is neither compassion, nor does it do anything at all to uplift someone. It actually pushes them down further. It also says something about a virtue that I am lacking, be it faith in the benefit of the drama of life, or inner freedom, or inner contentment. I am projecting my own lack of virtue on to the situation in front of me.
If we look at these situations in the consciousness of the soul rather than the consciousness of being a body, then we would realize that as souls, we are constantly radiating whatever we are thinking and feeling. If I am seeing weakness in other souls, then I am radiating that weakness back to them, even if I don’t say anything to them.
The way that God, the Supreme Soul looks at us is completely different. If a soul has nine defects and only one virtue, God will only see the virtue in that soul and by doing that he empowers the soul.
By connecting to the Supreme Soul, the Ocean of Knowledge, and using the knowledge of drama that he gives us, we know that each and every soul is exactly where they are according to their own thoughts, words and actions. Every scene of this drama is beneficial and the return of karma is always beneficial.
And we also understand that as souls, we are all on our own journey. If a soul has fallen down to a low point today there is no telling what realization they may have tomorrow, which they wouldn’t have had, had they not fallen down.
We have to radiate all powers and virtues through our thoughts, words and actions, and have pure feelings of unconditional love, peace and happiness to uplift souls everywhere. By remembering God we channel His energy everywhere we go and towards everyone that we have connection with. When we judge others we are reverting to body consciousness and we push them down further by seeing their weakness. But when we see them as God sees them, with tolerance and mercy, seeing only goodness, then we uplift them and we become angels and helpers of God.
We are images of support for all the souls of the world, not just for our own lives. Through our elevated attitude the atmosphere of the whole world is being transformed. Souls of the world and matter are becoming pure with our pure vision of brotherhood. The new elevated golden age is being created by our pure thoughts. We see the effect of our thoughts in the world around us. We are sticks for the blind. We have a huge responsibility……………….but we remain ever light because we have God, the one with all Powers as our Companion, and no obstacle can stop us.
