I wasn’t expecting to be talking about a new humanity when I called an old friend from the West Coast a few days ago. He is a teacher of special needs children in Los Angeles. He is also a poet, an actor, a lover of God, and the best joke teller I have ever known.

But jokes didn’t come up in our last chat. We were talking about a booklet he picked up in India on his trip there this past summer. It had really inspired him. It was written in Germany in the late 1940s by an author named Hesse (not the Herman Hesse of Siddhartha fame).

What this relatively unknown Hesse wrote was based upon an intense inner revelation/vision that he said was given to him by God. It was about the future of the planet and the transformation that will eventually lead to a New Humanity. 

And though he didn’t mention the year 2012, it sounds  very much like what some writers of the 2012 scenario are now talking about. Topics such as an end of the world as we know it; spirit guides helping the lovers of God find food and safety when both are in short supply; about finding the resources for life from within rather than from without.

Hesse wrote that souls who are filled with greed, hatred and anger won’t even be able to incarnate on the planet for a period of about 2000 years; that there will be no secrets, that everybody will know everything; and that the world’s population will be much smaller than it is now.

Hesse said that the shocking nature of world events and the collapse of the world as we know it will be too much for most people. However, he also said that a smaller number of people would understand that it wasn’t the end, but a new beginning. 

Are the current world economic problems just the tip of the iceberg? Are more world shakeups about to happen?

And if so, then what are we to do?

What I have been subjectively noticing over the last year is that while the state of affairs of the world have worsened, that the resources of the inner world are becoming more and more accessible. More an more people are discovering inner realities. A gradual inner tuning to higher vibrations is taking place around the world.

There is more joy, more inspiration, more passion, more bliss. For many, the allure of the outer is fading and the inner is becoming brighter and brighter. It’s as if the inner vaults have been opened and we can take as much as our hearts can hold.

If you are someone who has been mystically inclined for a major part of your life, then take notice of any changes in your inner life.

Are you feeling more focussed on inner realities? Are you finding more peace, more harmony, and more joy? That’s my experience.

Last week, some friends came over to our house and asked how I was doing. I thought about it momentarily, and then said, “I’ve never been better.”

But I don’t think I’m alone in feeling this way. Something great is happening to a great number of people. And if this is true, especially when considering the world’s financial crisis that is impacting us all, then perhaps humanity is finally on the verge of a great new beginning.

It’s as if the Infinite Consciousness that sustains us all is stripping us of everything that is not vital to the life of the spirit, so that we can be free to long for the highest destiny that awaits us all. It’s as if the Highest of the High is saying with arms open wide, “Welcome to my world.”
