A Dream

My friend and fellow blogger, Jenny Mannion (healpain.blogspot.com) tagged me for the Reveal Your Dream Challenge. One of the rules stated to aim high. You will see that I have.

Since this post is in response to the Reveal Your Dream Challenge, I find it interesting that it was a literal dream that became my challenge for this lifetime. I know Neil Sattin, who started this challenge, was looking for dreams in the form of ambitions in life. This is an inner ambition.

The dream occurred about seven years ago. In it a spiritual being of indescribable light appeared in front of me. I recognized this being as a manifestation of pure consciousness, beyond imagination. Love Personified. Becoming filled with bliss as this dream was being played out, I remember saying to myself, “Pay attention, this is an opportunity that doesn’t happen everyday.” Now that I think about it, nothing of this magnitude has ever happened to me before or since.

In my dream this being of light held up a tuning fork and struck it against a table. It put forth an indescribable pure sound that filled the room. Then he spoke and said, “This is my vibration. It is your duty to become this vibration.”

That is a challenge.

The DreamBut isn’t that what life’s about? Is not our purpose here to raise our vibratory nature to higher and higher levels? I believe that. But how to raise it to that level?

I intuitively knew that this Being of Light wouldn’t tell me to do something that I couldn’t do. But I also knew I hadn’t a clue as to how to accomplish it. So I asked him, “How do I do that?”

And he said something very simple: “By remembering me constantly.”

I’m not one who usually remembers dreams. But I have not forgotten a single detail of this one. I can still see him, with his long slender hands, holding the tuning fork. And I can still remember the pure sound of the tuning fork reverberating within me.

In the blogosphere I read a lot about the law of attraction. That is the principle at play here as well. I know that I attract what I think about. If my thoughts are of a low vibration, I attract that. If of a high vibration, I get that. And now I was being told to think of the highest vibration, and that I was to become that. What a tall order!

Have I been able to constantly remember this being of light who felt closer to me than my own breath? No.

Do I still try? Yes. If I didn’t I would be in denial of life at its deepest level.

It’s like any meditation. Random thoughts come and go. When I realize that my remembrance has gotten off track, I come back to it.

Why put so much emphasis on this? Because when we get the inner piece of the puzzle to fit, the outer falls into place perfectly. As physicist David Bohm would express it, the outer is an unfoldment of the inner. The outer can’t have any real meaning until the inner is properly in place.

This is so obvious–yet it seems so often overlooked. Can you imagine someone dreaming of giving a great musical performance without first developing within a certain level of musicianship? Once the musicianship is attained, then there is no limit to the great performances he or she can give. Again, the outer (the performance) is an unfoldment of the inner (musicianship). An expression of an inner attainment. That’s what life is.

The Rules

  1. Reveal your dream for the world to see, either on your blog (if you’re a blogger) or in the comments of a blog (like this one).
  2. Remember, it’s a dream – so aim high! If your inner critic tells you that your dream isn’t “realistic,” tell your inner critic to take a hike. State one off your wildest dreams AS IS.
  3. Tag some other bloggers, or friends. Don’t forget this step!
  4. Links back to this post are appreciated, but not essential. You could ust mention that you’re responding to the Reveal Your Dream challenge on NeilSattin.com.
  5. That’s it – start mannifesting
  6. One last thing

You’re allowed to have many dreams, but you don’t have to reveal EVERYTHING for the world to see – just pick one of dream for this challenge. Also, the beauty of being human and having the freedom of choice is that you can always change your mind – and by setting the wheels in motion for the dream you mention you’ll be able to make an informed choice. Reveal your dream for the world to see. It’s risky, but I promise you’ll thank me down the road. Oh, and please keep in touch – I want to hear how it all goes.

Hi Greg, Thanks so much for participating in the challenge. WOW — that was some dream and I can why you have never forgotten it. I agree that the inner needs to be in tune and aware. It is amazing to me how for so long I went through life almost as a puppet — without knowing who was pulling the strings. Knowing I am the one in control of me allowed me to heal and I strive to become more aware every day. GREAT post. Gratefully, Jenny

When we reveal our dreams to the world… we will get the energy to accomplish our dream. It helps us to frame our goals and pushes us to work for the goal.

The list of blogs sites are useful for presenting our dreams to the world. Thanks!

Neil

Hey Greg,

That may not have been exactly what I intended - but what a great response! Dreamworld brings with it a directness - pointed straight to the truth of things - so how perfect that you’ve connected with such a core principle to drive the rest of what you do. Thanks for such an honest response to the Reveal Your Dream challenge. :)

Thanks Neil.

I’m glad you liked the post. A few weeks ago I met a man from National Public Radio, who asked me out of the blue, what my goal was in life. What I wrote in this post was basically my response. He seemed to appreciate it.

That was a great dream that you had Greg!! I really enjoyed hearing about it. It’s true that it is all about vibration and energy.

Something that happened to me about 5 1/2 years ago which had a profound impact was this. I was really upset about something. I was talking to God, the Comforter of Hearts, about it in meditation. After pouring my heart out I stopped and was just still and quiet. Then I heard what seemed to be a voice and didn’t seem to come out of my own head at all saying to me…………..”You are a jewel of contentment”. I was stunned and it was so opposite to how I felt at that moment. But, it stayed with me and ever since then whenever I have felt like getting upset, I remember it and then I say to myself, how can I get upset? I’m a jewel of contentment.
