Meditation and stress relief are tools to keep the map accurate. If you feel overstressed, anxious, stuck in a rut, and apathetic about life, then you can benefit greatly from meditating. You will find this to be the case whether you try guided meditation, Zen meditation, breathing meditation, or Transcendental Meditation. They all have one thing in common, they slow down the mind and bring relaxation and clearer perception. If you feel drawn in that direction, Meditation is a self-empowerment technique that will assist you as you pursue your holistic personal development.
The beauty of implementing meditation and stress relief into your daily life is that there are numerous ways to go about it. Whichever you find best is best for you. Learning Meditation can be easy and simple and you can meditate from a few minutes each day or hours if you desire, either way the benefits are limitless.
Slowing down the mind and assist in connecting to the source of being. That to me is the primary benefit from meditation. Connecting to my inner source gets me out of my mind. That alone enables me to undo past conditioning, which is a form of imprisonment. Here is a great tool that you can try right now to enjoy a deep state of meditation–a free meditation script and free Alpha entrainment MP3 for accessing the alpha state of mind.
Eliminating Stress
If you are motivated to pursue meditation and stress relief, you might want to explore the following resource: Stress Relief and Management - Master some stress relief and stress management secrets and you could glide through challenges with the calmness of a Zen master.
Although you might begin with a focus on meditation and stress relief, you will soon see the ramifications on other issues. For myself, when I meditate, my heart opens, which deepens the experience of my inner life. I feel bliss. And when functioning at that level of consciousness, everything is easy. I have more poise.
I feel a sense of purpose. Situations that use to bother me no longer do. When drivers on the highway cut me off I don’t react. I smile, because I know that in the past I would be cussing up a storm. It’s fun when you can observe life instead of react to life. That is a special type of freedom. Meditation can give you that kind of freedom.
This freedom is a freedom from the mind. The mind can be a great tool when we know how to control it. But if we don’t, it controls us, and we become its slave.
When people pursue meditation and stress relief, they have more access to the deep resources within–creativity, perception, inspiration, energy, and love. They feel more connected with the world around them, people are drawn to them, and opportunities materialize.
The new resources unveiled within instill passion. Goals that once seemed too difficult to attain suddenly seem within grasp.
When you pursue meditation and stress relief you will impact your emotional life. When people are no longer depressed, life is easier. When people are no longer prone to fits of anger and exasperation, they are easier to be with. And when their hearts are open (which happens when they connect to being) it becomes joyful for them to be in the company of others. This is the type of environment in which love can thrive. And when love is thriving, oneness is experienced.
When anyone has all this new energy and creativity of the spirit, new direction and purpose in life unfold. One reason for this is that they no longer feel limited. They no longer have the fear of failure. Life becomes an adventure.
I’ll show an example from my life. When I was in high school and the first two years of college, I hated to write. I was a musician. Music was my life and I had no need for writing. Then with a major revolution of my life I started meditating. I began with Transcendental Meditation. It brought me deeper focus and energy. I discovered my inner life on a deeper level.
Twice a day I would make appointments with myself to enjoy a blissful 20 minutes and go within, which happened by virtue of slowing down my mind. My music improved dramatically in weeks. And then something unexplainable happened. I woke up at 3 am and said out loud with conviction: “I must become a writer.” And so I did. That was a surprise because I had never before enjoyed writing and suddenly it was a passion. What once seemed impossible became easy. Inspiration took hold.
Factors like that begin to take on more and more of a priority in life once you start living life in a state of connectivity. Decisions are easier when you have a clear perception of what you want. Because you are more connected to your inner source, you will make your decisions based on how they will impact that connection.
Career decisions, vacation decisions, buying a house decisions, all become easier because you are now aware of your higher intention behind the decision. You only have one real concern when it comes to decisions: Will your choice deepen or weaken your connection to your inner source? You will find that this consideration guides you in everything you do. You will enjoy this new inner presence to such a degree that you will not want to separate yourself from it.
The Persian poet and spiritual master Hafiz once said, “If you want the presence of God, don’t make yourself absent.” The presence is there if we want it, or at least if we are conscious in keeping it with us.
Perhaps you might find yourself in a mental or emotional roadblock of some kind. When you meditate, possibilities open for you that you never suspected existed. When you are relaxed and open minded, creativity flourishes. Some of the greatest breakthroughs in science have come about when the scientist was able to get out of his thinking mode and just relax.
