To everyone with any interest in IV vitamin C, there is a book that I whole-heartedly recommend: Vitamin C, Infectious Diseases, and Toxins: Curing the Incurable
For years, I have been telling people about the work with IV vitamin C that Dr. Fred Klenner did, how he treated 60 polio patients with vitamin C and cured everyone of them, how he would treat a rattlesnake bite, or burns, or viral pneumonia with vitamin C. He is a legend in the field of orthomolecular medicine. The knowledge he passed on to other doctors is invaluable. Dr. Klenner died in 1982.
One doctor that heeded the information from Dr. Klenner was Dr. Robert Cathcart. He got to know Dr. Klenner before Klenner’s death and read all of Klenner’s papers on vitamin C. He treated over 3,000 patients with megadoses of IV vitamin C in his practice in Northern California. He too wrote numerous papers on vitamin C. Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling even wrote glowingly about him. He recently retired.
So what does all that have to do with Dr. Levy? Well, when I saw recently on Dr. Cathcart’s website that Dr. Tom Levy was the world’s foremost expert on vitamin C, it got my attention. That was quite a statement because for years I had considered Dr. Cathcart the world’s foremost expert. Cathcart also mentioned that Dr. Levy had cured two cases of West Nile Virus with IV vitamin C. This guy means what he says – “curing the incurable.”
It’s encouraging to know that there is such an expert in a field where there is so much misinformation. If I were to have a life threatening illness like West Nile, I would get on a plane and go see him. But what really made me feel good was when I discovered his book. One of the great things about this book is that he publishes all the information ever written by Dr. Klenner and Dr. Cathcart. There is information here that will open a lot of eyes to the possibilities of megadoses of IV vitamin C. He focuses on what he considers the 1200 most important papers ever written on vitamin C.
If every doctor were required to read this book in medical school, there wouldn’t be so many people dying in hospitals from adverse drug reactions, currently one of the leading causes of death in the United States.
According to Dr. Levy, vitamin C in large doses has cured virtually every acute virus that he has treated. He says the evidence suggests that the effectiveness of IV vitamin C treatment is predicated on whether or not you can get a high-enough dosage of the vitamin within the direct proximity of the virus.
As for the West Nile Virus cures, one patient, Jack Butler was cured in 30 hours with one mega-dose of IV vitamin C. The other patient, Boulder resident John Howard, 55, had chronic, prolonged effects six months after contracting the virus. After undergoing three consecutive sessions of IV vitamin C, Howard claims to have no remaining symptoms. “It’s almost like a miracle,” he says.
