The Powerful Leader

The powerful leader of a new humanity will lead without military force. He or she will lead without political office. This is a leadership of soul power, of consciousness, or heightened vibration.

There is a revolution taking place in the world right now without weapons or military force. A new collective leadership is emerging of a limited but ever-growing number of awakened people. They have discovered the power of being aligned with high vibrational energy.

This power changes lives in unimaginable ways. Through movies like The Secret and What the Bleep do We Know and books like Power vs. Force and The Power of Intention, more and more people are discovering the principles of abundance, the outer benefits of inner growth. Negative energy is avoided like toxic waste because of its detrimental effects on the ability to manifest dreams.

These new leaders are no longer plagued by greed. The days of being excessive, rejecting, denying, condescending, and controlling are over. Why? Because those attitudes are not conducive to the expansion of life. They find that life works better when they are abundant, accepting, admitting, agreeable, and allowing.

This leadership encompasses a new vision of mysticism and holism, sort of a have your cake and eat it too, or instant karma. Whatever you want to call it, life is being geared up to a new level of energy. Those who understand this and its implications are thriving. People from all walks of life are discovering their true purpose. Ordinary people are starting to realize that they have the same infinite resources as everyone else, and are starting to utilize them. People are starting to sense that there is more to life than a 9 to 5 job with benefits. Instead of security, people are diving into the unmanifested and finding higher ground. People are quitting their jobs, just like I did, to pursue their new vision of life.

The days of arrogant, harassing, and unaware leaders are over. The days of the control freak boss are over, too.

In the corporate world, I used to work under someone who had the title of Vice President. He had a nickname that is too vulgar to reprint here. One day a friend of mine came to me and told me this Vice President was going to fire him and a co-worker because the VP overheard them making a bet on a football game while at work. My friend told me the VP was just waiting to get the OK from Willard (the president) who was out of the office for a couple of hours.

Well, knowing this VP was an out of control meddling, rigid, arrogant, cruel and righteous corporate executive, I went into Willard’s office just ahead of him. As the VP walked in, he was dismayed to hear his boss, Willard, confirm with me that he had the Bears and 3 points for $100. Needless to say, no one lost his job.

Why did I tell that story? Not because it was funny, but to give you a concrete example of destructive leadership. It’s a warrior type of mentality. Everyone is the enemy. “Let me show them who’s the boss.” No solutions, just consequences.

The world doesn’t need more control. I wrote about politics and control issues like the Patriot Act when I was an editor of a newsletter for a union local in Washington, DC. One day I was in my home office writing an article about the FBI and how they were looking into the reading habits of people via the records of public libraries.

As I was writing the article on my computer, my doorbell rang. I answered it only to be greeted by an FBI agent. Holy Karma! You get what you resist. I wasn’t arrested but it gave me a fright. I don’t dabble in politics anymore. The energy is too negative. As Sting sang in one of his songs about politicians, “They all seem like game show hosts to me.”

The days of controlling people through fear and manipulation are over. People are awakening.

Dr. David Hawkins shows conclusively and scientifically that the consciousness of humanity is rising after hundreds of years of stagnation. Something is happening. The energy is changing. And it’s coming from a relatively small number of people. But they are powerful.

In his book, Power vs. Force, he describes power as high vibrational energy that is conducive to life, that comes from the source of our being. He assigns this category to Mahatma Gandhi, among others. He describes force as a destructive low vibrational energy, something we would assign to Hitler or Stalin. Maybe you’ve had a few bosses over the years that come to mind.

These leaders are at the extreme opposite ends of a continuum. But in between are countless other leaders, in business, politics, and culture.

Hawkins writes in his book from the basis of his extensive 20 years of research involving millions of kinesiology testing sessions from around the world, with people from different religions, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds, with each group reproducing the exact same results.

Here’s how he describes it in the introduction of his book: “The test itself is simple, rapid, and relatively foolproof. A positive muscle reaction occurs in response to a statement that is obviously true; a negative response occurs if the test subject is presented with a false statement. This phenomenon occurs independently of the test subject’s own opinion or knowledge of the topic, and the response has proven cross-culturally valid in any population and consistent over time.

This technique provides, for the first time in human history, an objective basis for distinguishing truth from falsehood, which is totally verifiable across time with randomly selected, na?ve test subjects.”

He used this testing process to calibrate human levels of consciousness. As he explains, “Exhaustive investigation has resulted in a calibrated scale of consciousness, in which the log of whole numbers from 1 to 1000 calibrates the degree of power of all possible levels of human awareness.”

He found that not only do people have power, but words have power. Principles have power. He even calibrated the Declaration of Independence. He found that power originates from the mind, whereas force is rooted in the material world.

How does this relate to leadership? If a leader is motivated by selflessness and service, then he is manifesting power, which is conducive to life. If a leader is motivated by personal gain and greed, then his energy is one of force, below the threshold of 200, which indicates that it is destructive of life.

Here is Hawkins explaining the concept of power vs. force with Gandhi as the example: “Violence is force, but since Gandhi was aligned with power instead of force, he forbade all use of violence in his cause. And because he expressed universal principles (which calibrate at 700), he was able to unite the will of the people. When the will of the people is so united by and aligned with universal principle, it’s virtually unconquerable. Colonialism (calibrated at 175) is founded in the self-interest of the ruling country.” Hawkins also noted that Nelson Mandela in South Africa demonstrated the same principle.

So that is the theory of Power vs. Force as it applies to political leadership. How do you think you would calibrate when it comes to leadership? Do you think of the welfare of the people that you lead or are you more interested in looking out for yourself?

It’s really counter-intuitive. The more you think of others with love and compassion, the more power and success you have. And you probably sleep better too. The reason this is so is because it puts you in alignment with the higher vibrational forces of the universe.

When you become aligned with the higher vibrational energy, inspiration becomes manifested in you. That is how leaders like Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King were able to gain the cooperation of so many people in the quest for human dignity and freedom from oppression.

If one 90-pound man can throw the British Empire out of India without even using a weapon, imagine what we can all do together to create a world of beauty, peace, and oneness–a world where creativity flourishes and dreams are realized.

Principles are power. Brotherhood is power. Human dignity is power. The principle that “All men are created equal” is power.

There are attractor energy patterns in the world. Some will lift you higher and some will pull you lower. Chose wisely. As leaders, it is important to live by principles that are uplifting, that support life, that unify, that bring out the best in everyone. By doing so, you are making a contribution to life, to the universe, and the power you manifest will bring you success, beyond what you can imagine, because it is unlimited.

Hawkins, in his book, demonstrates that we are all interconnected. What we do for another, we do for ourselves. What we do to another, we do to ourselves.

What type of leader do you want to be? Align yourself with principles of higher energy and you will be strengthened—with the lower and you will be weakened. With the higher you will be loved. With the lower you will be despised. The higher brings accomplishment. The lower, in the end, brings only frustration and bitterness.
